Earlier this year, we installed a sedum green roof on a domestic property in Linton, North Yorkshire.
Firstly, what a lovely setting, looking out onto the open fields – we do get to work in some lovely areas!
This roof was unusual with its hexagonal shape and 4 skylights to navigate but the end result was beautiful.
Given the structure of the roof, we added anthracite grey retention bars to the circumference of the roof to retain the sedum mats and prevent movement. Each mat is made from recycled foam which makes them easy to cut into shape and install at the corners of the roof.
1 month later and the roof is in full bloom.
Our customer kindly emailed to say how happy they were with their sedum green roof and provided the photos above. They said:
‘To be honest the photos don’t do it justice, it’s absolutely stunning!’
We couldn’t agree more!
